In addition to my role as an actor, I concurrently serve as a Communication Social Media and Design consultant at the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat India, working on climate action. This dual engagement allows me to contribute to meaningful initiatives and provides a unique intersection of creativity and advocacy.

My journey into the social sector began during my undergraduation as a volunteer with Pravah, a Delhi-based NGO. Recognizing the importance of gaining diverse perspectives as a theatre practitioner, I developed a keen interest in understanding narratives at the grassroots level. This desire to connect with stories and issues led me to actively seek knowledge from various perspectives.

It was at Pravah that I started organizing events centered around sociopolitical themes, allowing me to build connections with various change-makers and garner opportunities to work with them. This experience enhanced my understanding of social discourse. This holistic journey complements my current work in climate action, significantly shaping my approach as a performer and advocate for sociopolitical and climate change.

ICS X Pravah

As part of the International Citizen Services (ICS) volunteering programme, I was stationed with Jatan, an NGO based in remote Udaipur. Our objective was to improve access to healthcare and education for the local community. Upon identifying an underutilized Aanganwadi (childcare facility providing basic medical care), the team and I undertook renovations, including painting and upgrading the infrastructure, to transform it into a multifunctional community youth centre.

Education

In my view, education goes beyond academics alone. It should encompass environments that nurture holistic development, enabling children to grow into intelligent, expressive, communicative, and innovative individuals. Through my work with various organizations, I've had the chance to create workshops and modules that ignite interest and promote active participation.

Social Media

I've been a freelance social media manager, and I've helped organisations run and monitor campaigns that inform the public about the Indian Constitution, sociopolitical problems, and socio-economic concerns, and promote psycho-social change.

Art Instillation

As a master's student, I got the opportunity to design an art instillation that initiated discussions on the social construction of illness within private spaces and language. The aim was to prompt viewers to reflect on how poor mental health can look and feel, and how it communicates within different spatial contexts.
